Hope Rising

Esperanza Rising is a book about a girl starting over in America after difficulties happen in Mexico with her family. This book changed my life because it actually got me to love reading.

download (2)       Reading Esperanza Rising, I had begun to enjoy literacy entirely, consequently, changing my life. Reading was the advantage I had against other people. It was an escape from life that others hadn’t known, due to immense amounts of imaginations causing me to be able to become anyone I wanted, even if it was just for a second. As a result, I see the world differently and began to imagine new situations in my head. My little world that came from reading was perfect because it was entirely mine, and no one could ever change that. Because of reading, hope was rising in my life, and it opened doors that would have never been open without it.

This is a love for reading that I recommend all kids to have because it allows many children and teenagers to connect with the world in many ways. These are stories I recommend to start a connection with literacy.
