Teens Cooking

Stirring the pasta, seasoning the meat, my partner and I prepared an Italian Chicken Alfredo dish. I chose this certain platter because I find Chicken Alfredo tasty and scrumptious. Whenever my family and I go to Olive Garden, I order this precise meal. I thought cooking the pasta would expand my knowledge on cooking. I do not contain much experience with making myself meals. Before this event took place, I only knew how to make easy microwavable meals. Afterwards, I learned from my partner and I’s mistakes and achievements.

One thing I noticed from my peers presenting their meals to the class, not many of us knew how to cook before. Most of us happen to be juniors, which means we only have about a year left until we graduate. A majority of us will attend college and perhaps live in dorms. Being inexperienced with cooking results in not saving money as the other option for eating meals is microwavable meals or eating out. College is not cheap, as we should know by now, so I encourage everyone to begin cooking on your own. Watch your parents cook dinner or breakfast and take notes. Cooking may take more of our time when in the hurry but there are other alternatives such as meal prepping. Cook all your dinner meals, or breakfast, on a free day. This method saves you money, and calories. Even Youtube could guide you in preparing meals and cooking any meal. Utilize the internet and develop the skill of cooking. It’ll be worth it.
